How to get 5.1 surround in game?

I'm trying to get my 5.1 setup to work in game. When i test it on windows everything works i have even configured it.

I'm trying to get it to work on Dying Light 2.

What can i do to make it work in game?

The game will probably not support 5.1, as the game is also played on Steam which doesnt play in 5.1 stereo afaik.
Try head phones possibly better results for surround sound.
