Steam won't open
So I downloaded a new game a couple days ago and went to play it today and steam opened and like it wasn't fully loading or something so I couldn't do anything so I forced closed steam (through task manager) and it wouldn't open so I restarted my PC and it said "steam failed to load platform modules" and now steam tells me nothing and just won't open. For some reason steam downloaded into my desktop and I moved a steam file to my x86 program files but my steam.exe is still in my desktop. Could this be affecting my problem?

we dont have steam.exe at windows desktop and yes that can be a issue.

this is steam default install as fare as i know
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam

then steam multi disk is other drev at root folder now. ( see steam storage manager for detail. )

this is ?:\SteamLibrary
thats is at root and learn to accept it, because security keep change and any helper here can tell you old game from the past also get issue with it that work fine in the past, its not that simple anymore, game devs do not go back and fix new security issue.

How could I move steam itself without deleting and redownloading Steam?

Maybe you should rename all steam folder to steam.old, and then reinstall steam the right default place , then you can see where things should be. and put them there then steam is not running.

and then run steam.exe at right place and steam will try fix itself.
