Help! Steam sending the verification code on "gmail.com" only

Basically, every time I try to sign-in on this one alt account I have, steam would just send the verification code on "gmail.com", it literally just says "gmail.com". The text goes like this: Enter the code from your email address at: gmail.com. Why would something like this happen, and how do I fix this?

Change it yourself if you actual still have access to steam client.

its in the setting's ( ask yourself this, dont you think steam has other things to do with 1 billion account and ppl can switch email everyday if they actual did it )

this is why i and other explan it like that, steam is not going to do it for us.

this is to help other steam user that someday have lost or forgot email. adr. or server that is not there anymore. ( has actual nothing to do with your post. so dont delete it. )
