Cannot download updates - Steam claims No Internet Connection, Content Configuration Unavailable, and/or Content Server Unreachable
I have tried the following to fix:

Reboot PC
Exit Steam and restart it
Changed Download Region multiple times to multiple locations across the USA
Limit Download Speed
Turned off Game File Transfer over Local Network
Clear Download Cache
Checked game file integrity
Waited until it was trying to connect, then Paused the update, waited a little bit then Unpaused
Changed DNS to 8.8.4.4
Disable/re-enable NIC
Spamming the retry button
Waiting for Steam to auto try
Removing the game from the update queue and re-adding it
Changed the game to High-Priority Updating

I am on Wi-Fi with 22 Mbps download. Everything has failed. Most of the time it instantly just says 'No Internet Connection' but other times it will attempt to start, then go a second or two, then fail. The 'Content Configuration Unavailable' and 'Content Servers Unreachable' messages seem to be randomly dispersed and not actually dependent on anything.

I am trying to update Cyberpunk 2077 but the same issue has occurred with other games as well. I was able to get a very tiny update for Kenshi (KB large) pushed through. This update is large because I have not played it since 2021 but it isn't even trying to download.

I just tried to also download JUST the Bonus Content Music which is 1 GB. That started out with the same issue but while I was typing this out I successfully downloaded that only.

I am having the same problem with no resolution in sight. I’ve tried all the same things and more to no avail. Hope someone can figure this out. Oddly enough mine downloaded the huge cyberpunk download then started doing this. But I think it’s a system problem cause I pulled out my gaming laptop and everything downloaded fine so I’m at a lose
I hard reset my pc and it fixed whatever the issue was
I was about to say same thingy, in your comment in the above post, if Lapytop work then you have Main pc issue.

Dont forget try repair internet connection if that even help, laptop user know this, desktop pc owner might forget you can do that.

+ Do not underestimated have 2 pc, so you can test for such, just like this user did. i dont care if you have friends laptop or spare pc, its more reduce a single point test.

gl with it.

It had nothing to do with my internet connection. Or with something with my hardware. Steam support was useless.

The solution was to completely uninstall the game and re-download the whole thing. It took over 8 hours. But I was able to get the game and the updates installed.

I had to uninstall CyberPunk 2077 completely and re-download it. Hopefully this will work for you as well. Good luck.

maybe your ISP had network fiber work , becauae you did this at midnight ,and lost connection or disconnect on a monday is not a steam isue. ( they have tuesday as Maintaence day so things dont add up here.

steam is not going to tell you this they dont point fingers aat other ISP , this is why i post this, technicaly i dont care if your mom took cable out, same thing, point is you did not have connection into steam thats my point."No Internet Connection,"
and be happy i and other bother with a reply , then noone else dare tell you diffrently.

You wont get company to point fingers at other company, someday that will backfire at them
but here we are steam gamer users, we dont need policy on that here. we want truth even if it hurt us. ( imo i will rather know what cause this not post with i dont see though the BS here )
No connection is a statement , and i understand very well why steam will not say not our problem , but more a company reply with standard reply.

gl if you get it, why it is so.

dont forget we are gamers here, we will rather know midnight to 06:00 typical own isp doing work or upgrade or fixing issue. then least ppl are online.

not your fault for not knowing, unless you do haave sms service from own ISP if they offer such sertvice at all. and yet emrgency repaire can always happend, so sms system could also be effect even that is rare but can happend.

gl with it.

ps watchout for timezone and summer time such has been seen to effect when it happend.

I've been having this problem with quite a few games as well for at least a week or two now. The work around that phlimm suggested of uninstalling and re-installing seems to work for me.

I'm on Linux, so I don't think this is some Windows configuration issue. It also doesn't seem likely that it's an ISP or internet connection issue given that I can install the full game. Unless updates and installs run from separate servers?

It 100% had nothing to do with my internet because I was using the internet the entire night on multiple websites and ran multiple speed tests and messed with it over the course of 2 days. It was very obviously related to the version I had installed and the long time between patches because as soon as I uninstalled it started downloading immediately.
