|How do I make my sliders bigger in Steam?

As above really, I have a huge empty space to the right hand side of my Steam interface and a tiny, narrow slider that I spend ages trying to capture with my pointer. I can't see any way to make the damned thing bigger/wider.

I saw this in an old thread hereabouts:

In SteamOS, go to Settings -> Display -> toggle off Automatically Scale User Interface, then play with the slider until you're happy with the display size.

Which I tried but there is no mention of HOW to "play with the slider"
Does anyone have any idea please?

Nothing enlarges that.

When you change this toggle, a new slider appears. Use that.
