*Fixed* Beta Family Sharing - Failed to accept the family invite.
With the new style of Steam Family sharing, people are running into issues. I was setting this up with my brother this morning and hopefully, this will help someone else get it going.

TLDR Fix for us - Log into the same computer with both accounts

(I KNOW This seems outdated. That it used to be necessary under the OLD family sharing. But it's also what worked for us under the new Beta Family Sharing)

Full:
We are actual brothers and live in different houses in the same town (definitely the same country. lol) We have a long shared history in Steam, playing the same games, gifting each other games over the years. He was even the top suggestion in Steam for who to add to the family first.

But got the following error:
"Failed to accept the family invite. You are ineligible to join this Steam Family at this time, as your Steam activity doesn't indicate that you are in the same household as the other members of this family."

This was with a brand new family that I just created. No one else was in it. I was on my computer and he was trying to accept on his Android App at first. The error persisted when he tried on his computer as well. We both restarted our steam apps. I cancelled and re-sent the invite a few times (this does not cause a 1 year cooldown).

Next, I cancelled my family (again, does not start a 1 year cooldown if no one else is in it), he created one and invited me. I got the same error.

Through others' posts we tried:
Confirming our country in Steam > Settings > Account Details > Store Country - was the same.
Both purchasing something with the same country selected. (He hadn't made a purchase in a while)
I tried gifting him another game.
We both signed out and back in. And restarted the app again.

Finally, we tried what I 'knew' wouldn't work, because it was 'outdated' information.
I signed into his account on my computer. Cancelled and re-sent the invite to the family, switched back to my account, accepted it, and we were good to go!

I'm sure there are other issues and errors that people are running into, but hopefully this helps someone at least.

That worked but for different reasons. In the old system it was because you had to "authorize" the PC for family share and register it in Steam.
With Steam Families it works because when you send out the invite Stean checks if the receiver has any history with you , either by sharing a name, address, play or purchase history.
If none of that is present now or in the past you get the error that you dont appear to be from the same household.
By logging into your PC with their accout it now seemed to Steam that you are living at the same location since your login history shows the same place. And thus the invite works.
