I can't open Steam

Why does Steam not open, I tried to reinstall it, restart the PC, and deleted the cache(according to the advice on Google, but it didn't help) via Win+R I introduced steam://flushconfig (according to the advice on Google, but it didn't help) please help

same here since last 2 days on win8 sp2. Restart PC, deleted cache, uninstall and new install doesn't work. It looks steam runinng on Task Manager but it doesn't actually.

Have a pc update is BIOS and its driver from Product support,, same goes with windows have a support system and keep it updated.

Try add steam.exe to Antivirus app, as exceptions rules. ( i doubtr its this ) but if you block it now after a update of Antivirus app core files, it wont startup.

You also have windows event view why a pp crash, and steam log in log folder why things crash.

Do not have other pc issue or get caught with it

chkdsk c: /r ( drve lettert and skip /r for normal fastest check )

this is common things most pc user know.. ( dont think we did not make same mistakes from the past, but this is here and now. and pc and steam user also get better at it though the time over the many years.

Noone normaly dont say upfdate your pc anymore, most have auto update app that do it for them. but , we still see pc owner with OEM factory board BIOS thats a huge mistake.

Which version of Windows are you using? I'm having the same problem myself and none of the solutions posted online have helped, I think using outdated Windows might be the cause.
