How can you collect steam tokens?

I'm collecting for my Steam profile, but I'm short of 3000 tokens. Tell me how you can collect them without spending money, there is no way to buy a game now, and I really want a new profile.

be more active on the forums, post screenshots, make artwork. dont be in a rush to get points. being helpful on the forums will net you some points over time. just dont be in a rush to get them (it does take a couple weeks to get the points from awards)
