Your issue is probably more that the initial 'press' of the home button has to trigger connecting to the bluetooth module first, once it does, then your home button will likely trigger bpm
1) turned on Windows event log for Bluetooth device connections
2) attached task to that log event which in turn runs a script that will kill screensaver process

As a bonus i configured in Steam controller settings "Guide Button Chord Layout" controller shortcut, that will activate keyboard shortcut to switch audio to my TV. Program to faciliate that audio switching on keyboard shortcut used: https://audioswit.ch/er
