Skyrim problems for 70yr old amateur

Hi I am a 70yr old gamer with only basic skills coming back to Nexus in Dec/Jan 24, (having failed miserably some 5 yrs ago and slunked off back to Bethesda). When Starfield came out I just had to try again as I know how amazing the modding community is and what they could do with Starfield. I am running 3 games with vortex, on my updated gaming PC, Geforce rtx 3060, 3 SSDs H/Ds, Corsair vengeance pro ddr4 32gb all fitted and set up by a professional computer business with Star field in mind. Starfield (42 mods)/Fo4 (62mods)/Skyrim se (40 mods) and ‘all’ was running well until the SKSE problems in Jan 24. Fo4 and Starfield are fine with NO problems at all, but Skyrim has not recovered. I have tried all the normally recommended ‘fixes’, I am now running 1.6.1170 and SKSE 2.2.6, the game loads and runs, but some mods for Skyrim although listed as enabled and the plugins showing up in the plugins window, are not showing up in game. CBBE, Bijin wives/npcs/warriors, all working okay. I have played right through to releasing Serana only to find the extended dialogue mod is not working. Problems - Using Vortex, I constantly get the message ‘failed to up date master list’ the advice to delete some files ‘to make Vortex create a new list’, makes no difference it returns. I have run my PC without any anti virus for 3 days while playing FO4 and checking Skyrim mods enabled /disabled, it made no difference. Also I have and had messages saying ‘failed to load ‘Balders Gate 3’ from Github, ‘Skyrim VR’ files from Github and now a new one failed to load ‘Stardew valley’ extensions from Github. Is this normal as I am not running these games? The Plugin for SKYul_SE_esp had a LOOT message recommending using ‘SkyUI SE-Flashing Savegames Fix’ this disabled my saves, if I tried a quick save/save, the game would crash immediately. So I deleted it and things ‘seem’ okay. Loot also messaged saying MCM had a problem and so I uninstalled Sky ui and reloaded it, seems okay but I must admit I haven’t seen it in use as in my FO4 game? These issues leave me distrusting Vortex. I’m frustrated remembering how well Skyrim played before the ‘Update’ and the mods that brought new life to Skyrim like Serana and Lydia dialogue mods but they just don’t show up in game. I have run the game with all non essential mods disabled one by one or removed, then checking the game again. The game runs well through ‘Helgen keep’, until Riverwood where Camilla Valarius should walk me to the bridge to show the way to get the golden claw, but she stops on the road outside the Sleeping Giant, saying ‘this way’ if I talk to her she just repeats ‘this way’ and doesn’t move. If I run on to the Riverwood bridge she will eventually run to catch up and completes her lines and I can go into the game, so I am not sure everything is okay. I cleared Vortex of all Skyrim mods and deactivated it. I then ran the game with Steam only but the same problem with Camilla occurs. I have uninstalled and reloaded Skyrim, have done a ‘ scannow ‘ 3 times it found some issues in the 1st run through but the last 2 said non found. Also checked some of the drivers for updates Direct x and distribution thingy but Camiila will freeze at the same place even in a ‘Steam’ only run through? One more thing in the initial Skyrim set up check, it decided to run the game in ‘Ultra’ mode. Can anyone give me some pointers please. I can understand it must be frustrating dealing with non tech savvy people as I don’t understand computer programming that well at all and I don’t want to waste your time. But perhaps just some particular areas I could focus on. Thanks
