questions about changing region plz help ;(

so i've been using steam for a few months, and recently im travelling to china for around two weeks. i am wondering whether if changing region is mandatory. (i'm returning soon but steam only let me change my region every 3 months i've heard) like if i don't change my region would i be going against subscriber agreement or anything?

you only change regions when you are going to be moving to a new region or living there for an extended time. if you are only visiting for a few weeks, there is no reason to change you region.
