Game Profile

Do you have to own a game in order to get a game profile from points shop? I know you do for individual items. I like the Dying Light 2 Stay Human but I only have the original Dying Light. Need another 5,000 points. I see I have 1,000 coming in 14 days. It would be nice to know now and not be as disappointed when I get 10,000 saved.

Just click on the item. It will tell you whether or not it required game ownership.

All of them just say :

"Use your Steam Points to get this Game Profile, which contains exclusive items and a theme not available separately. All items will be equipped when you activate this, except for the Animated Avatar.
You need 5,000 more points to get this item.
This item is not eligible for a refund."

Which it says this for individual items till you have enough points and click the purchase button. Then it tells you whether you have to have game ownership or not. It doesn't tell you beforehand.

Really, the only people who would be able to help is someone who was in the same boat I'm in. Buying a game profile from a game they don't own.
