Two friends sharing the same game to a third friend via library sharing but the library only sees one share.
So this is difficult to explain, but I have a game library, and my son has a different library of games that we both have purchased. One of those games is the same title game that we both got, so we could play together. My daughter occasionally wants to play this game as well. To facilitate that I shared my library with her, as did my son. With the goal being that if I was playing or he was playing but not both at the same time, she would have the option of playing with either him or me as circumstances allowed. However, Steam only sees that I shared my copy but not his copy, so that she and I can never play together. I have already done all the standard troubleshooting. Anyone know what is causing the issue? or a work around?

The system picks the library that is shared and that leads to headaches, even if both accounts own the game in question.

Only other way around it is SFS Select...

You should all use it when multiple people are using sharing for multiple accounts and own the same game that is being shared on multiple accounts.

To share HIS copy, you would have to have set your daughter's account to share from HIS library not yours.

I'm not sure you can share the same game across multiple libraries like that. It only chooses one, and likely from the first library shared.
