Can you get malware from steam picture?

I was trading with someone and I clicked on a picture to zoom it. I did not go to any website but I believe the picture url was suspicious. Should I be worried and if so what should I do

It conceivable. In the long run, with enough hackers, poorly-made software, unpatched bugs, and users who are willing to click on random things, almost anything could be exploited, I guess. You probably don't need to be that paranoid, though. Why not run a free virus scanner if you're worried, though?
