Question about game count for paid games that go to free to play
So, most free to play games don't count towards your game count on your profile and the game collector badge. But I'm just wondering, what about games that were previously paid games that then go F2P? Does it remove them from your game count or do they stay?

Just wondering, since when I first signed up for Steam I had gotten the Orange Box and at the time Team Fortress 2 was not a free game. And later, when CS:GO released, I bought it before that game also went free to play. I never paid attention if that ever affected my game count or not but I had them both before they became free.

It's not about "paid or free/F2P", it is about having "limited profile features" "tag" on store page. A game didn't have one upon transition from paid to free/F2P? Nothing changes, it'll continue to count towards "game collector" badge/total number of games on account etc. That "tag" was on store page at the moment of transition? Well, game in question won't count (and most likely never will, unless devs/pubs will add microtransactions/"Supporter DLC" and similar stuff...).

I am aware that games which have "limited profile features" don't count towards the game collector badge, but free to play games also do not count even if they have profile features, trading cards, etc. with some exceptions.

Er... Aren't all F2P/free games released before Spring of 2018 (that's when "limited features" were introduced) supposed to count towards account totals? And after that date it's all about "that one "tag" on store page"? Or I'm missing something? Examples of F2P/free games-that-should-count-but-actually-are-not are welcome.
