How to change Account Name

I have been trying for a few years to change my steam user name but can not figure it out. Only name i am able to change is my profile name. How can you change you steam account name?

There is no option to do this and it is not intended. Your account name is unique and only meant to be known by you.
If it's something embarrassing, that reminds you of being young and stupid... doesn't matter still. You don't have to tell anyone.

[Edit: Also it is coded into the system deep enough, that any attempt to change it would be a nightmare]

You can't and most likely never will be able to.

Edit: It is a limitation that comes from how Steam was coded in the beginning.
