I've used paid version of Fraps and TBO it is waste of money as it does the same thing as the above two freebies.
Afterburner has conflicts with ENB mods though. I'm not sure if BandiCam does too; I've never used it.
I bought Fraps ages ago and, in the grand scheme of things, it isn't the best. The format and resolution options are pretty lackluster compared to others, so I agree with you on that. It works and works well without conflicts, but it's very rudimentary.
Huh. I like overlays too much though. RadeonPro doesn't have a problem, so I use that.
As I always seem to have to turn off overlay features for GTAIV, but not other games.
So I don't know for sure...
As far as capture goes, BandiCam works good. OSD are nice, but if you familiar with your CPU & GPU temps, FPS and such, u don't really need it. It's just good for monitoring and such. But again something that adds OSD is one more app or overlay to get in the way and help crash the game, etc.
Nvidia are supposedly working on getting built in capture software for their GPU drivers. Unfortunately, it is only for their GTX 600 series and plus. I've tried to force it on my GT 640M and had no luck.
As you can do OSD with it (FPS, GPU Temp, etc.)
Video, Audio, Screenshot capture...
A means of controlling your GPU voltage, clocks and fan speed; fan speed/temp curve profiles.
Others like EVGA and ASUS have similar program, but theirs usually will only work on their brand of GPUs. MSI Afterburner works on mostly all GPUs, from AMD and NVIDIA, desktop and mobile versions.
There is even Afterbuner mobile version of the app and u can remotely monitor and control your GPU from the app on your tablet/smart phone. Comes in very handy.
Perhaps I should try the softwares that you mentioned. I dont really like Fraps as you need to buy it for full version.
