Steam keeps downloading Vindictus even though I cannot play it.
My last thread got one stupid response that did not help at all and I bumped it a few times so, sorry, but I had to make a new thread.

Vindictus is banned in my region for whatever reason but steam keeps downloading the game. It's not on my games library so I cannot delete local content. If I remove the vindictus files from steamapps/common then steam will re-download the game again.

Please help? This is taking up 2GB worth of an unplayable game in my region.

Look under Library > All Games

Plus if it is downloading, then it must be a Library entry in Steam (or in the downloading section) simply pause the download and then go to it's entry in Library and right click the game entry and click Delete Local Content.

Not sure what else to say, as your issue doesn't seem to make much sense.

It's not in the library anywhere. When downloading there's no pause button on vindictus at all. I know this does not make much sense but I'm serious.
I have the exact same issue as above

Then I would submit a support ticket to Steam Support and see if they can help u resolve such issue(s)

Steam Support
https://support.steampowered.com/profile.php
Please read the details on the page if u are new to using Steam Support. It requires u make a new/separate account for Support issues. It does not use your Steam Game Client account login for Support.

Since I can't speak from experience with this game, I can't be of further help on this issue, sorry.

I had the same problem today and since i couldnt find any solution i came across something that worked for me.

In the SteamApps folder, delete all the files in the "downloading" folder, delete the Vindictus files in the "common" folder (or try uninstalling through control panel though it didnt work for me) then look for a file named "appmanifest_212160.acf" which is the library directory for Vindictus and then just restart steam.

Oh thanks for that. It's doing it again today. I'm going to try it.

some of the stuff u said here fixed my problem. i deleted the content in "downloading" folder though there was no vindictus folder in " common nor in remove programs" but i found the file "appmanifest_212160.acf" and i deleted it.

after restarting steam it didnt download anything. ty for the info ^^
