Last Day of SALE? - When Exactly Start/End (not American!)
I live in Australia - and have never been through a big sale like this.

Is the last day gonna repeat all the best deals plus some of the best that haven't yet been seen?

Plus - When exactly is it?

When exactly is the start and end of the last day of the sale?

Please post links to any official details/mention of this stuff from steam etc!

Please post times as Time/Day of Week/Date/Location/Timezone etc! and maybe 'the last day starts in exactly 14 hours from now etc as well'

I'm still hanging out for BEST deals on things like: (base and bonus editions or Season Passes etc)

Dishonored + GOTY*
Borderlands 2 GOTY and/or Season Pass
Metro Last Light + Season Pass
GTA4 + and other GTA maybe
Bioshock Infinite SEASON PASS
Stanley Parable

and lots of indie and not super recent games like to get cheaper than now...

Bionic Commando Rearmed
Bionic Commando
Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP
Gunpoint
The Swapper
Element4l
140
Tetrobot and Co.
spelunky
rogue legacy
Frozen Synapse

PLEASE NOTE - I'm looking for deals better than currently on offer TODAY - so please don't keep saying 'oh that is this much and that much' or 'that was this much 2 days ago on THIS' etc as that won't be useful!

Cheers

The last day of every big Steam sale is an encore sale where they sell the more popular games e.g the games that sold the most.

THere will not be new daily deals that haven't already been. If you want GTA4 and Gunpoint and all the other games that weren't featured you'll have to wait until the WInter Sale (December 19th). The Winter Sale is longer so there will be more games that'll be Daily Deals and Flash Sales.

The Autumn Sale (Spring Sale to you) will end on Wednesday 10AM Pacific Time.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply,

BTW if you can reply again - could you please write the exact time/day/date and says ur in cali? That way i can double check the time conversion by your post!

So have you been through this sale many years over etc?

So you think there won't be ANY new flash sales or any cheaper prices that haven't already happened earlier in the sale... but will it mean all the cheapest best deals will be repeated? I thought they would have kept some of the juiciest specials to the very last minute?

So no point to check in every 8 hours of the last day - all the same then? Or will they rotate the 'repeat' posting of those 'best of specials instead as flash sales?

I kinda need to know in advance if i need to check in at set times etc or not...

How or rather why do you think those games will be featured in the next sale and not this one? I thought this Black Friday week of sales was supposed to be the biggest of the year for steam and most us sites?

When does the December sale finish?

In all steam sales - do they ever have flash sales shorter than 8 hours? I thought they'd have lots of 1 hour sales at random etc... And i've been using the reddit games link as my bible... but are there better threads/places to get an email update every time they change the flash sale etc in future for steam?

Do you think the Winter sale is considered a bigger deal than this one? Will it likely have less impressive discounts or better etc? Just trying to gauge what to buy now and what to wait for to pick up then instead - but have nothing to go on - no past experience?

Anything else you can add that is helpful would be appreciated... thanks man :)

WTF??? Looks like the sale is over... ????

Everyone said the last day is yet to come - recapping best specials???

only a few specials linger but the general format for the steam site is back to the regular one.... They clearly stated the sale was until the 3rd of Dec! In Australia if you say 29th-3rd for example that ALWAYS means until the END of the 3rd... isn't that how it works in the US??? What bs.. everyone said there was a whole other day???

It looks the same for the US Steam too right? Or is all of this a glitch? Cause i noticed if i refreshed the dishonored GOTY page every 2nd time it would switch from the special price then back to expensive price and back again for several minutes???

nuts!

In Pacific Time (Valve's time zone), it is after 10 AM on December 3rd. Changeovers usually happen at 10 AM--some people just made the same mistake you did and thought that lasting until December 3rd actually meant that the sale would continue through the entire day of the 3rd.
The good news is that the Christmas sale will be bigger. Valve's biggest sales are always the summer and Christmas sales--the autumn sale is their 3rd biggest. Expect special events (trading cards, contests, or something like that), most of the store's games getting some kind of discount, community votes for which games should have bigger discounts, etc. There will also be flash sales, most likely 8 hours long each (there have been shorter ones, but Valve seems to have stopped that due to complaints).
December 19th is the most likely starting date for the Christmas sale, since Valve likes to start their big events on a Thursday, and it will probably last two weeks.
