Gmod - Missing(Invisible items)

Hi all,
I'm very new on here and have just started playing Gmod. However, although I've installed literally every addon on CScheater (I don't play CSS of HL2) I have an issue where I can't see some items. I don't have any of the 'ERROR's or any purple missing textures, they are just invisible and I keep bumping into them! Examples include the tables and chairs in the office on TTT/PropHunt, fences and other obstacles as well as some guns like the AK47 (although I can still see them on the floor to pick them up and they only become invisible from first person.) Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions as to a fix would be awesome as it makes PropHunt really hard to play :_(

Sometimes Garry’s Mod will require to mount other games such as Counter Strike: source or Half-life 2 episodes. This will allow to share models, textures and weapons such as a AK-47 which is shared from counter-strike: source require the game to be installed to share the required resources. You will need to purchase Counter Strike: source to use these resources unfortunately. Hope this helps.

[Added]: TTT and Prop hunt require mostly Counter strike: source resources, this is why you have errors, invisible models and purple and black textures where you are missing resources. You can purchase Counter Strike: source from steam. Click here to go to the store page.

Thanks for the speedy reply :-D I did what the video said to but I still have the same issue :-/ However, on the office level where the table was missing (and still is) when I started grabbing around it chairs started appearing out of thin air and staying where I dropped them. This leads me to believe that I have the textures I need but they aren't loading correctly :-( Any ideas?

Thank God I found this thread, this was the exact problem I've been having. I'm in the exact same situation, and it seems that most of the invisible furniture and that are in cs_office. They are invisible with a black shadow where they are supposed to be placed. The invisible furniture is some other maps too. I hope a solution can be found, thanks.

Yep thats that's what I've got too, shadows and all! I get it on office and the mansion level from Murder :/ If anyone has a fix, please let us know!! :-(

I've thankfully found a fix! Apparently, the CS GO textures make items/props invisible. I have tested it out, and it works!

All you need to do is go into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\addons (The location that you placed the texture addons in) and delete the CS GO content addon.

It should be fixed now, welcome! :D

i have a problem kind of like this, and i know that if i use mat_dxlevel 90 or higher it will fix that problem, but it comes at a price. after i use the command, my flashlight can only be used on a very few amount of things making it useless. does anyone know a fix making it to where i don't have these problems? i use a windows vista if that info helps

people come and go, and i would only necro threads like this if i need help, and it is not really that old of a thread. anyway, it is 3:00 in the morning, can you leave me alone and let me go to sleep. we can talk about this tomorrow, and btw, i don't get some social cues of things like not to revive necro posts, i have autism (and ADHD), infact, i honestly did not even know what necro was until i looked it up to reply
