Far Cry 3 - horrible lighting/shader issue

Please help,

I just purchased far cry 3 for my virtual windows machine (running on a imac). I'm using VMware fusion 5 for the virtual machine. DirectX v 9.0x. (I originally had directX 11 but downgraded to see if it would fix the issue).

All I did was buy the game on windows 7 through steam, downloaded it, and started the game normal, and after the first cut-scene there is this huge shader bug. I tried all the different settings in the game and nothing worked. Any advice greatly appreciated, I really want to play this game.

Specs of my machine:
16 gb ram (only using 4 for my VMware virtual machine)
ATI Radeon HD 4850 512 MB

I know not great specs for gaming but I know it can run far cry on low settings.

You're running on an unsupported platform. Any vitualization is not going to work well even with VMWare Fusion

Run native using Bootcamp

Vmware is supposed to work fine with games. There has to be a way to fix this

Vmware is 'not fine for games'. games are unsupported on virtualization platforms. There's no support fo games on those platforms as literally anything on the vitualized platfrom could be causing the issue

Run bootcamp.
