no "settings" menu item on mac?
All the troubleshooting guides tell me to "click on the Steam Log and select 'settings'" to change a password or other account changes. But the only logo visible on Safari has the single Steam logo upper left in the header and right clicking on it brings up no such "settings" menu item. None of the other header items has a "settings" menu item either.

So where is this magic "settings" menu item I vitally need?

I'm trying to figure it out too. I'll let you know if I discover anything. (Trying to access the settings so that I can enable the new "broadcasting" feature.)

The website only has a small fraction of the features of the actual client; in particular, there is no settings.

Use the client...

Not the Steam logo, the Steam menu in the left corner of the client.

Also didn't you say you used Safari?

BuzzMega, I figured it out. For Mac, it's kinda hidden. Go to your top menu bar by the apple logo. Click "Steam", then "Preferences". It's not called Settings for whatever reason on Mac.

In that case, if the Mac client uses the same UI setup, the settings will be in the "Steam" menu.

That's probably because the system settings are in an application called "Preferences", so maybe Steam is trying to use similar wording.

Macs for some reason must have the active windows menu on the top bar if the screen even if the window is not full size, so unlike windows which keeps program specific menus on the window itself, the Mac programs change the main top menu based on which ever program is active. The settings are there, just not where they normally are when you see people talk about steam because most of them talk about the windows version.

No menu on the client window like in windows where most tutorials will point. It's on the main menu bar.
