Skyrim not starting after modding
Okay, so lately I've been going a bit overboard on mods, maybe. I have over 120. So yesterday, after downloading some more mods, I opened up my skse launcher of Skyrim, and it would not load. At all. The screen would not even come up. I even tried it on the steam version of Skyrim, it opened, but it stayed on a black frozen screen, forcing me to shut down and restart. So then I disabled the mods I had downloaded that I downloaded that day, because the day before, it opened up fine. I clicked on the SKSE skyrim icon, and it didn't open again. Can anyone help?

I disabled all the mods, and it didn't work. So I don't think it is the mods, it might be something else.

I would recomend uninstalling all your mods and redownload them on a website called nexus mods

Here is link: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/?

Sign up for the site and download the manager then start to download your mods at first only download one or two then launch it from the NMM (Nexus Mod Manager) to see if it works.
If that doesn't work then right click Skyrim on your libary click or properties then click the tab labeled local files then verify integrity of game cache it will take a while but it will be "Worth the wait" if it comes up with any problems at the end of it then it installed wrong just simply uninstall it then reinstall it and it should work if it doesn't come up with any errors i honestly don't know

I've already downloaded nexus mod manager, that is where I get all my mods, besides steam community. Also, how do I uninstall and reinstall Skyrim like you said? If you could go into specific detail that would be great, i have lots of trouble with this stuff.

The easy way of uninstalling without being all technical is if you press start there should be a search bar in the search bar type uninstall a program click on that find Skyrim double click on it and it will take you to steam and all you have to do is press delete if you have any saves it will not delete them so no need to worry about things like that.

How do I remove the game directory?
friction Nov 16, 2013 @ 12:00pm
Alright, I deleted the Skyrim from my documents and the Skyrim from the common directory. It's downloading right now, i'll get back to you when it is finished
mod conflicting and those mods might be taking up too much ram

Okay, so it works in vanilla when I don't add anything, but I cannot bare to play to skyrim without mods. So I activate a few mods and it does the same thing again, even when i disable the mods, it will crash. I'm so fed up right now. I have tried everything. Literally everything. And it has been doing this for weeks now. I'm sick and tired. I'm done trying. Guess I cannot play Skyrim anymore.

Download BOSS which will detect any conflicts for you. Sounds like it's definitely something to do with your mods. It's really helped me when I had crash to desktop because of a corrupt or incomplete mod.

Here's a link to their website - http://boss-developers.github.io/

Also you can check this video (from Gopher on Youtube - a great mine of Skyrim information) about BOSS and the importance of load order - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6MxLBcSgkc
