Steam overlay (SHIFT+TAB) absurd "flickering" bug, almost in every game.
Issue Report: Steam overlay disappears when scrolling through the ingame browser.

While ingame (in TF2 for example, but also many others, in the last days almost every game), I open the Steam overlay and try to browse through the achievements\any web page in the ingame browser. After a short period of time scrolling through the achievement list (1 second is enough), the Steam overlay disappears and I'm back to the game.

Then it flickers, it appears and disappears most of the time. If it disappears completely when I reopen the Steam overlay, the ingame browser is stll there and at the exact point, where I scrolled to, though scrolling again let's the Steam overlay disappear again.

I'm not quite sure if scrolling with the mouse wheel triggers this problem. Sometimes, the Steam overlay disappears, sometimes it does not. And I can't see, if it depends on the scrolling speed or not.

I don't think it depends on the scrolling because if I don't open browser bust just overlay (e.g. I scroll among friend list) it doesn't happen.

It happens just since few days and I have change nothing, neither hardware or software. I am using latest Steam beta.

I couldn't find any fix using search function (even if several other threads with similar problem are present).

Thanks.

Regards.

There are two locations in the Steam client where 'Enable Steam community in-game' needs to be checked for the overlay. There is the global setting in the Steam->settings->in-game tab and there is an individual setting for each game - right click on the name of the game in the library list, select properties from the dropdown list then in the General tab of the box that comes up. If you have not already done so, make sure that both of those are checked.

Are you using any other piece of software that uses an overlay - I know some people using MSI Afterburner's on screen display have had this issue in the past.

The 'tick' of course is not a problem (have you read the thread?). And I tried also to remove Afterburner, no go.
