I cant buy steam cards on the community market
Hey everyone,

I tried buying a few Steam Community Market items (Steam trading cards) today, but every time I complete the purchase it says:

“Additional confirmation required – Confirm via the Steam Mobile App to complete your purchase.”

I opened the Steam app and confirmed all the purchases (there were 4 confirmations total since I was buying 4 items), but even after confirming everything, the Steam website is still stuck on that screen.

When I tried again, it now says:

“You have tried too many purchases without confirmation, please try again in a few minutes.”

I’ve waited, restarted both the Steam client and the mobile app, and cleared cache, but nothing changes. My wallet balance is fine, and I’ve got no pending confirmations left on the app.

Has anyone else had this happen recently? Did waiting fix it, or did you need Steam Support to manually clear it?

Any advice would be appreciated, it’s frustrating since it’s just a few cards (about R4.67 total 😅).

Usually you just have to wait a bit, I'm sorry that I have nothing specific for you but it's been a bit buggy lately.
