Steam VS Epic games Download speed
I am using wireless, speedtest.net shows I get download around 150mb/s, faster when others arent on it ofcourse.
Steam downloads at their highest only get to maybe 20mb/s while Epic Games shows it goes all the way up to 130+mb/s.
I know theres probably not a good way to increase the download speed without a ethernet cable but I do have no download limit set and connected the nearest download region.
Its just odd that such a bad game launcher can have a much better time downloading games

Does Epic download games first, then unpack them? Steam unpacks while downloading.

Also, try using a wired connection.

1. Make sure you are comparing the correct speeds as steam defaults to MB/s and 1 MB is 8 mb.

2. If that's not the case it's your connection area that's being slow usually as steam can max out anyone's connection really to try a different download region / clear cache / check for bandwidth limits.
