Best way to get steam points?

I want to upgrade my profile with a nice theme + mini profile backround but i don't really want to spend 120$ just for the sake of steam points and I don't buy expensive games that often. Is there any other way that's more efficient and hopefully cheaper?

How do I get Steam Points?

Whenever you make a purchase on Steam, you'll be given Steam Points based on how much you spend. First, we convert this amount to USD, which then converts directly to the number of points you receive.

You will not receive any points for funding your Steam Wallet or for any Steam Community Market purchases.

You can also get Steam Points if someone from the community grants an award to one of your user reviews or other uploaded content such as screenshots, videos, guides, or Workshop items.

Go on a popular game see when new update happens then in the update post discussion ask for trans skins or characters to get added. Or any other kind of ragebait even if its the most obvious stuff.

Lmao and farm jester awards? Idk if im willing to try and get that 60 times for the 12000 odd points I need

Best thing is to wait for a sale and then buy a bunch of games. That way paying $120 seems more justified.

If you're not willing to spend, try contributing more. You can even get awarded for trying to help other users on the forums. I still get awards for post that are like 5 years old from people that went looking for a very specific problem.
