New PC / External hard drive

Hi all,

I got a new PC. Since I had a lot of my Steam games on an external hard drive I figured it would be easy to just play them again on my new PC once I plug in my external hard drive and registered it.
But all Tips I found said, to go dot "Steam -> "Options" -> "Downloads" ->"Steam Library Folder" -> "add directory"
But my Steam Launcher doesn't has the options to go from Downloads option to Steam Library Folder anymore to register an external hard drive so I'm at a loss here.
All pictures I found are showing a Steam setup that seems much older and has other options than mine.
So maybe someone here can help me. I've upgraded from Windows 7 to 10 by the way and well my steam looks very different now too. The Steam on my Win7 had that options I were looking for but this steam doesn't

There was a new Steam UI client update 2 days ago.
In the new client UI the library drives management is now under "Storage".
So in the client settings choose "Storage" , then press the + symbol in the list at the top, from the pop up menu select the last entry " let me choose another location", then just point it to the existing Steam library on the external drive and it should automatically add all games as installed to your library.

The new UI puts the Storage Manager in its own category in the settings menu.

Thanks a lot it worked like a charm. Couldn't really figure it out on my own.^^
