New UI Update is crashing steamwebhelper.exe constantly, any ideas?
Was happening to me when I had the beta update on, then I opted out. Now that the new UI is out, I was hoping the issue was fixed but apparently not. I can't find any information, and seemingly no one else is having this issue.

Every single time I click on Steam's icon in the taskbar, steamwebhelper.exe just immediately crashes and I have tried both the "restart steam with X disabled" to no avail. Steam is nigh unusable for me right now, does anyone have ideas?

Win10, RX580, R7 1800x (if specs matter at all)

I used to have many similar problems with various apps when my RX480's cooling failed. Check to see if the fans are running on the card.
It's bad, now Steam client webhelper is using 600mb of my ram and there's no way to stop it.

If you cant start steam ,i can only see "steam flush config cmd" google it, so you never forget it how its done. thats part of you did and remember how to do it.

I don't know about anyone else but I can start Steam alright. The problem is Steam is constantly crashing since the new update.

we dont know why you are crashing, but do the Dism rep and sfc cmd google them so you never forget them. then gpu driver with fresh install in nvidia custom install mode, amd has DDU app.

and check for windows update while you are at it.

I am crashing for the same reason as the OP. I have the latest Nvidia drivers and Windows update.
Same issue here. I right-click the icon on the taskbar with no response and then receive an error a few seconds later, saying that steamwebhelper isn't responding. This update blows.

I`m, having the same problem with steamwebhelper, and while i`m playing Euro Truck Simulator 2 the game it starts to glitch after a few minutes and then of course the game crashes and gives the error message about steamwebhelper and asks me what I want to do I do keep clicking on restart steam and it`s been a cycle since this last update, and Euro Truck Simulator 2 just downloaded an update but i couldn't find any info about this update.

I've personally had the problem of the steam client blacking out for probably 3+ years now, but now it's even worse. What does it say in your "cef_log.txt"? (./Steam/logs/cef_log.txt)

Just a thought, Not sure if it would work.
Maybe make note of your account and Steam ID. Then completely delete steam.
(Reboot after deleting it.) Then re-install, login with your current user pass. Maybe it will correct itself. This is just a thought/suggestion. Make 100% sure you know your user/pass.

Othen then its look like a AMD issue with 2-3 ppl that actual bother with GPU detail, gl with it contact AMD GPU support.

for me, restarting steam with no sandboxing after crash (option in steamwebhelper crash report) seems to fix it, although it is quite annoying because I have to do this every time i start my Steam application. My processor is AMD 5 3500U
