How do I change the font size?
The previous UI's font seemed larger. Is there a way to increase the font size on this new UI in the client?

Inside Settings -> Interface, there's an option called "Scale text and icons to match monitor settings". You could try enabling that if it's not set. You can also try messing around with Steam skins.

Literately this! I can read anything in the overlay once in a game and currently messing with systems settings....I can't believe it is not a Steam setting.

I have this setting on by default and text is still small. I just can't seem to find an option to zoom/enlarge steam's text. From everyone freaking out about the new changes apparently skins are either no longer applied or if they still are I need to wait for new ones to be made since the older ones do not transfer over from my limited understanding.

Thank you for your input. I'll add this to suggestions.

I don't use the Steam client. When I install games, I make shortcuts and put them in a folder called Games. Then, when I want to argue with teenagers on the internet, I go steamcommunity.com in my browser and set a minimum font size.

Steam's website is still annoying because I have an ultrawide monitor, and the entire website is forced into a tiny column in the center of my browser. There's likely not much that can be done about that without injecting code to modify Steam's style sheet, though.

Thanks, this solved it for me. No more trying to read news updates in the steam app, but on the steam website through my browser!

Add "-forcedesktopscaling 1.25" to the Steam shortcut (without the quotes), you can replace 1.25 with a different value.

For what it's worth, since someone resurrected this thread:
.leftcol { float: left; width: 1280px; } .maincontent { width: 1600px; margin: 0 auto; }
This will override Steam's stupid style sheet to make the website wider. Adjust to your preference. 1280px (px=pixels) may still be a bit too narrow for high resolution displays. The easiest way to do it would be to copy-paste that into the extension Stylus.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
