Update has comepletely broken ingame overlay on mac (csgo)
Since update, the ingame overlay no longer works on mac. I am trying to play csgo and the game starts fine and I am able to play the actual game. However, when I try to acesss web browser, market, purchase a key for a case the overlay either does not show up or shows up as a white rectangle. Any help would be appreciated.

Mine is broken, but in a different way. My Steam Overlay is sized up incorrectly, and notifications appear at the dead center of the screen.

Yeah this is happening to me, how can valve mess up on such a component of the game that makes them money.

im having the same issue atm. i found this on another thread and hoping this will fix the problem temporarily.
put this into your consol - open -a steam --args -vgui

Contact and report this to Official Steam Support so they can add it to the pile of things they have to fix in the new UI disaster. These instructions share how to use the old UI and disable automatic updates in Windows. I don't know how similar doing it on Mac's is.

If you have submitted a support ticket, the ticket was closed, and you got an email response only YOUR ACCOUNT IS COMPROMISED

Secure your account:
1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/ and run a virus scan.
2. Deauthorize all devices: https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
(button at the bottom)
3. Change passwords for Steam: Click here to do that
4. Generate new backup codes for the Mobile App: Click here to get new codes
5. Revoke all API keys: https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (NOTHING should be there)
