Counter Strike Source Key Used

So I bought a HARD COPY of Counter Strike Source on ebay. I did not know that it would also mean that the key would be used. If there is a way of getting a new key for my game without returning this or contacting steam please let me know. And again ITS A HARD COPY. And no im not buying it through steam because my download speed is slow and theres no point in shipping this game back to the seller because than im wasting money. If anyone can help me get a new key for the game please add me and help me out. Thanks.

If it helps you will probably trade for a copy cheaper on the steam market. A few keys probably.
