Download "latencymon". its a program that detects what programs are causing "lag spikes".
When latencymon is running, cause the freezing happen again and then go back to latencymon(pause it) and check for "processes" tab for what was causing lots of hard pagefaults and in "drivers" tab for which drivers are causing "highest execution time".
if you have custom build-up computer and wireless network, these things happens usually.
mine was network driver related and i had to update driver manually by googling all the specific driver specs. atleast i had this problem with windows7 64, that my device manager didnt update all my drivers automatically, so that why i had manually update some drivers.
if your device manager is saying that you have latest drivers, double check it for sure.
and check your motherboard manufacturers site for latest motherboard drivers too.
