xbox 360 controller issue
It's quite simple. In many games, right trigger will not be registered like at all...only when I press it REALLY fast. In some games it works perfectly fine like Dark Souls or Batman Arkham city. But in other games (Guacamelee, Psychonauts) the trigger just refuses to work :/ Also it works great during calibration.

One last thing that I find quite interesting is this...When I try to play Just cause 2 with it, there are 2 possible functions for right trigger, it's either Fire or Dodge. When I use it to fire, it works beautifully but when I set it to Dodge (roll) it doesn't.
I mean why would this happen...I'm getting quite desperate, I bought the controller because I thought many games support it so it wouldn't be so much hassle getting it to work. Now I might just go back to the old controller and 360ce :(

It is wired 360 controller, I am not using any drivers for it and am on Windows 8.

I would advize attempting to install some drivers. http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/p/xbox-360-controller-for-windows#support
Edit: the website doesnt seem to have an option for windows8 drivers so i would think windows 7 drivers would work all the same.

Oh I tried that...it didn't help, thanks for the reply though.
Is it new or used? Could be defective/broken.
It's brand new, bought it like a week ago. But as I said...the triggers work perfectly during calibration and in some games it works too. I really have no Idea what could be going on with it.

You don't have another 360 controller you could test with? Also, have you removed the 360ce .dlls and loader from the various game directories you're having trouble with?

As you said, this should not be a hassle and drivers are not needed. It should be a simple plug n' play deal.

I've been using 360 controllers (wired and wireless) with different games and emulators for years with not a single problem. That's why I was leaning towards a defective controller.
Is it made by Micorsoft, or is it a third-party controller?

Unfortunately, I only have 1 xbox controller and I am not using 360ce with any of those games...they are basically fresh installations.

It's official xbox 360 controller.

Hmmm..

I would try this:

Unplug the controller, open the device manager. Uninstall the driver for the 360 controller - it's under "Microsoft Common Controller". Reboot, then plug in the controller and let Windows install the generic driver again. See if the problem is solved.

If that doesn't work, could you exchange the controller at the store you bought it from?

EDIT: I could be wrong about the location of the controller driver in the device manager, as I'm going off of a PC with a wireless one.

Hmm I can't find it...it's not in device manager nor in porgrams.
What about Devices and Printers?

I just plugged in my wired one and checked on my machine. The controller has to be plugged in to see it.

My fault.
Figured that out already, uninstalled the thing under xbox 360 peripherals, rebooted and the trigger still ain't working properly x)
edit: Tested it in Saint's row 3 and 4 and in both games right trigger is working great but then when I get in a car the right trigger (accelerate) works well but left trigger only stops the car instead of causing it to go backwards...come on, I can't be the only one who ever had these problems.

Well damn.

Is there another PC in the house you could try it on? Have you tried a different USB port? Are you using it in a USB 3.0 port perhaps?

I just remembered there is a Windows Update fix that applies to the 360 controller. Plug her in, check for updates and see of there's anything listed under optional downloads.

If none of that helps, I would return it for a new one.
