msconfig
after doing this go to startup > uncheck steam client > ok > restart your PC
No, in my taskmanager autostart I only got Dropbox, iTunes and the Windows Defender notification icon and in regedit (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run) there's just the iTunes Helper, Windows Defender and something called "(Standard)" with "value not set". Under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run there's just the (Standard) thing.
Autoruns showed one Steam entry which I disabled. After restarting my laptop Steam didn't start automatically, but when I started it manually it showed some kind of error message saying something needed to be installed again. I hit "OK" and then I could start Steam normally. After restarting the laptop once again Steam now works fine and finally stopped the autostart.
Thank You so much and sorry for bothering!
