You might have high ping for gaming, but still be able to browse internet.
If you have packet loss, you are on wi-fi and it is poorly configured/have interference.
I just tested it, my latency is very high for some reason. I'm able to do literally everything else fast though I just tested on youtube, I'm able to load videos in 1080p without waiting or anything. Not sure if that's relevant, but ugh! I don't really know what to do!
are there lots electronics where the router is like, a cordless phone? or where your computer is?
This causes interference.
First try rebooting the router though, and your computer whilst you're at it. xd.
I've tried to reboot them both, suppose it wouldnt hurt to do it again. And I'm wired connection currently so wifi isn't the issue. And the only other things on the wifi currently is my phone, and whoever else is in the house currently's phone. Even then it's normally not like this so I don't know what has changed from last night to today.
