WarHammer 40K Dawn Of War 2 Chaos Rising Install failed

Hello, i tried to install "dawn of war - chaos rising" and it keeps telling me that the installation has failed, please try again, here is what i am doing....

I run the disk....
it asked what language i want....i pick english...
then a window pops up with the options...
"Install Dawn of War ll: Chaos Rising"
"Technical Support"
"Register online for bonus wargear"
"Exit"
I click..."Install Dawn of War ll: Chaos Rising",
another window pops up with the following....

installation process will be as follows:
1) 3rd party components will be installed.
2) install steam client (required if not already installed)
3) create a steam account and/or login to steam
4) install dawn of war ll: chaos rising files and launch game
5) create a games for windows - live account and/or login to
games for windows - live
6) play!

[Cancel]
I clicked [OK],
"THQ Inc. Software License Agreement" pops up, i scroll down to the bottom,
then click "I accept the terms in the license agreement"
then a small window pops up with the following....
"Installing required components...this may take a few minutes"
the window is only up for 3-5 seconds before an error message pops up...

this will not stop happoning, the first time i tried, it was up for about 20 seconds before the error message popped up, any ideas??
