CD key gave wrong game!!??
I just purchased a physical copy of XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
Had a few issues trying to install using the disc. Finally worked out that i needed to activate key on steam and backup/restore game using DVD drive.

When i activated the key for what i thought was going to be XCOM: Enemy Unknown, seems as i bought the boxed copy of it. Instead the CD key gave me Bioshock Infinite.. WTF!?

That happened to quite a few people.
Contact Steam Support at https://support.steampowered.com

Know that Steam Support account differs from that of your Steam account and you will have to create a separate Steam Support account at https://support.steampowered.com/register.php

If you wish the ticket to go faster, you should provide a scan of your CD-key to Steam Support with the ticket number written above, like this:

That's... odd. It's possible that the publisher screwed up and put the wrong key in the box. They're both published by 2K Games.

I'd contact Steam Support about the issue. In this case they will likely ask for proof of purchase details can be found in the link provided.

Think I vaguely remember this problem from around release. You'll probably have to contact 2K instead, they put in the wrong keys I think.

I have EXACT the same problem.
Does anybody knows how many days it take from steam or 2k to solve the problem?

You need to contact 2K support. Valve will not be able to help with a purchase from a retail shop.

Thank you for your answer.
I did it. The question is: how many days it take from 2k to solve the problem?
