Steam Adobe Flash Player Download

Hi, I went to check the steam statistics on the steam client, and when I want onto it it prompted me to download flash player. When I go the download, (in the steam browser) and hit install, I can't find the installer on my computer. Can Someone help me with this? is steams client browser not able to download off the web?

why did you download it. may have been a virus. steam never ask you to download anything.

I had the same problem. Just got to [http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions] and download the one for Firefox NPAPI then restart Steam. Solved it for me

just jump on this . flash is an old tech, abandoned by everyone including its own editor.

steam should really do something better than this. it really smells old tech, i mean they were software editors too in their past, no? in the previous century

See whenever I do this, it asks me to open my download folder and open flash player which I can't do in the steam browser... I tried this in my normal browser and it worked fine. But I can't do it in the steam browser...Idk what to do.

What Flash have you downloaded? The NPAPI Flash ir something else? Also, you need to install Flash. Not just open your downloads folder.

What Flash have you downloaded? The NPAPI Flash ir something else? Also, you need to install Flash. Not just open your downloads folder.

I tried the NPAPI Flash. I am on windows 8 and that's the option I tried.

Close steam.
Load flash player from the original homepage, install.
Start steam.
Play.

Funny thing...I just opened steam and it worked perfectly fine. But I haven't done anything different. All I've done is restart my computer. Whatever, it works!!!
