Are integrated graphics really that bad??
I think integrated graphics are that bad to moderate gamers such as myself. With all the games I have, it seems to do the job pretty well :)

integrated graphics is basically default, it's the lowest you can go
you don't even have an actual graphic card, it's a tiny chip on the motherboard for basic graphics

I know that but I'm saying is it really THAT bad. I don't really think it is.

it's not bad if you want to play older games in low to moderate graphics with ♥♥♥♥ fps under 30
it's bad as ♥♥♥♥ if you want to play any modern games in the ultra graphics settings with 120fps+ it was meant to be played with
i bet integrated graphics hd4000 gets like 7fps in crysis

if you really want to know how bad they are go look at tomshardware comparisons for gpu

integrated graphics are absolute crap!!!!!!!! there is barely a game that will even start with integrated graphics!

I have intel hd 3000 and on crysis 2 i got 30+ and Crysis 3 it does struggle with 15+

I play crysis 2 and 3 with Nvidia 3D vision and SLI
PattyCFx 1 ENE 2014 a las 2:13 a. m.
Crysis 2 i can have some Medium to high and but everything else low to off :P
Perilous 1 ENE 2014 a las 2:13 a. m.
yeah, and crysis 2 was created for consoles and takes up way less than Crysis 1
same with crysis 3 which are both easy on gpu than Crysis 1 was

Get a copy of crysis 1 and watch your computer run it less than 7fps

I run Crysis 1 with HD Textures and tons of mods (but engine is F.U.B.A.R. in 3D)

It depends on the specs of the card there are some decent IG cards

depends on which intergrated graphics you have..amd sells apu's which is a processor with some pretty powerful intergrated graphics..not as powerful as a stand alone video card but they're not bad..the ps4 uses a amd apu I think.

totally depends on the game obviously. my console of choice is an entry level laptop hooked up to the T.V in the living room.

games that are better played with a gamepad than KB+M get installed on the laptop. platformers etc.

FPS MOBAs and other games that are better with KB+M tend to demand better PC performance. those are played on the PC.

The basic fact is that integrated graphics are the lowest common denominator ~ the bottom rung of the ladder. Some integrated graphics are better and others, and AMD's line of APU's with HD7660D and Intel's HD5200 are respectable compared to other integrated graphics solutions of old. But this does not override the fact a decent modern graphics card provides MULTIPLES of performance over intergrated graphics. Literally 5x to 25X improvements are achieveable.

This is like saying a Toyota Corolla isn't a bad sports car when Porsches and Ferraris exist. :jarate:
