Mods on Uplay?
Hi, I wanted to buy Skyrim on steam with the big sale, but unfortunately I was too late and is now only -40% off, instead of -66%, it costs now €23,99. But now I've seen that you can buy a direct download version on Uplay for €19.99. If I buy it on Uplay will I still able to put it in Steam and download some mods?

I think Skyrim always requires Steam, regardless of where you buy it.

But, even if for some reason you can't activate it on Steam, I would recommend using a mod manager like Nexus rather than the Steam Workshop. nexusmods.com

Skyrim will always install on Steam, regardless if you purchase it on Amazon, Origin, uPlay, GMG, etc.

If you're willing to wait, IT MIGHT be back.

Normally the best\biggest selling games are repeated for the last day of the sales.

I can't guarantee this though, so its upto you.

As others have said, Skyrim uses Steamworks. So, no matter where you buy it from, you will always get a key that can be used on Steam because Steam is required for Skyrim.

Unfortunately, Ubisoft's Uplay store has zero information about DRM, so it's hard to tell, but Skyrim does require Steam in order to install, update, verify, and play.
