recommended rpg games on Steam?
Can anyone recommend a good RPG game, I have searched and none very fitting for my taste.

In particular I don't like wow nor am I sure about witcher games.
What I like is any final fantasy game(seriusly ANY), so anything like that would do nicely, I don't particularly like games that contol like wow(games that play in a over-head view of an area).

I only mention an RPG because usually they are the most time consuming games out there but if you know f a game that is emersive and in a decent length, I would like to hear about it.

turn based games are ok with me.

Anachronox
Cthulhu Saves the World
Septerra Core
Fallout series. Some purists don't like the third one, but I think it's just as great as the first 2, only different.
Witcher 2, Cthulhu Saves the World/Breath of Death VII, On A Rain-Slick Precipice 3 & 4

I already have parts 1 and 2, and don't intend to play them -- so don't take this as an recommendation from me. Nonetheless, if these games look interesting to YOU -- Humblebundle has them in the current weekly[www.humblebundle.com] yet again. 3 and 4 are tier 2, though, so it's at least $6.

Have you ever played the Ys series OP? A friend of mine loves them. I might pick this game up at some point, Ys Origin:

Oh and check out Bastion if you don't have it. It's on sale for another 4 hours, it's a great game for that price:

Bastion is certainly a good game, and I'd recommend it any day (provided you understand spoken english -- dealing with subtitles in that game could be annoying). Nonetheless, I can't really say it's an RPG...

... although nowadays, the second you can choose between two items it's called an RPG, so maybe I'm just too oldschool.
I already have final fantasy vII and VIII on the ps3, i am thingking about witcher2 game but, what I want is more kingdoms of amalur feeling and less like dota or wow
I agree, when I think of RPG's I think of Bioware (before being gobbled up by EA), Planescape Torment or Morrowind. But the genre has expanded a bit to have a few more sub-genre's I guess.

Get Witcher 2 then. I loved it, the story was great. Plus Witcher 3 is coming out sometime in 2014 which is going to be awesome. I love supporting the developers too (CDProject Red) as their games are DRM free (if purchased from them) and they run the GOG.com site.

Athough to me KOA felt like playing WoW :P
I so wish Epic Battle Fantasy 4 was on steam

It's not necessary at all. There are some story elements I believe, but you can start with the 2nd and not miss a thing really. I actually didn't like the first too much, the controls were a bit odd with the keyboard. The 2nd worked great with the keyboard.
OK thanks alot
play witcher one as its a great rpg with amazing story.
