That's all you can do. Steam Support usually takes 3-7 business days to respond, depending on the specific issue and their workload.
I don't think it works like that. Support would conduct some sort of investigation before proceeding with disciplinary action such as a suspension or ban.
With a copy/paste thing about the Snow Globe trading cards. That's right. My questions on why I was suspended, or what part of the policy I violated were completely ignored. They focused on one part where I mentioned that I'd like to be able to trade those cards before they expired (Where I was asking how do I get this suspension removed, or prove I'm innocent)...and I got back a canned response about something completely unrelated to my issue of not being able to trade...all about the Snow Globes...
NOW I GET TO WAIT THREE OR MORE DAYS FOR ANOTHER RESPONSE!!! Fantastic.
I responded back and made sure not to mention the trading cards at all. We'll see how this goes.
Well, my point was more warn people if they get REPORTED, not just for scamming (You can report people for various things). As I was initially under the impression I got suspended for being 'reported' by various traders, that's why I thought it would be nice if you got warned first.
And I have no problem with Steam suspending people that may be scammers, I just wish they had a better process to deal with it.
Like specifying why they suspended instead of just linking the Trading policy without any further detail. OR having a way to submit proof (Which I don't know what I need to prove as I don't know why I was suspended).
SO, steam says I'm banned for violating the policy, Steam Support says that I was banned because I was REPORTED for scamming and any items that were scammed were removed. Nothing was removed from my library/inventory. Again, I'm pretty sure some jerks wrongfully reported me even if I didn't trade with them.
I don't know what to do, is there any way of getting actual help from Steam Support? Am I just boned?
NO. I will not just let it go. Yeah my trade suspension ends in 5 days, but my account is still going to be flagged, and if I try to continue trading people will get a pop-up saying I've in a probation period for something I DID NOT DO. Which means some people won't want to trade with me, or I'll have to spend extra time trying to explain the situation to people.
Also, as I am wrongly being accused, I don't want my account to have this blemish. What happens if I get reported wrongly again? After so many times they won't ban me from trading, they'll delete my entire account. I'm not going to just let it go and risk my 380+ game library.
