Wrongful trade suspension - Also suggestion for Steam
I got suspended from trading on Steam for 2 weeks for supposedly violating their trading policy. The page they provide has lots of stuff, none of which I have done. All trade I have done where in the trade window, I'm not a scammer, I have had a Steam account for 10+ years and would not do anything to risk my 380 game library with something as stupid as scamming.

How do I go about getting this fixed? I opened a ticket with Steam Support as soon as I found out, how long does it take them to respond? One person told me a week+ which seems ridiculous.

My belief is that some people who I was trading with did not like what I was charging and for the lulz reported me. How many reports against your account need to happen before you get suspended? How do you know if your account was reported for something?

Here is a few suggestions I have for Steam in regards to this:
1 - Send an email or something if you get reported. Kind of a "Hey, you got 1 out of 3 strikes, if it happens 3 times you will get suspended for X weeks"
2 - Be more specific in why you are suspending trading. All the message I got says is I violated the Trading Policy, and links the entire document. What part? I didn't scam anyone. All the items in my Inventory are still there, so I have NO CLUE what I did wrong.

That being said, I'm a big angry because now if I get any duplicate Snow Globe cards I can't trade them with friends, or try to sell them on the market to buy the ones I need. And since they expire before my suspension ends, I'm just screwed.

That's all you can do. Steam Support usually takes 3-7 business days to respond, depending on the specific issue and their workload.

I don't think it works like that. Support would conduct some sort of investigation before proceeding with disciplinary action such as a suspension or ban.
That isn't always the case. I bought 10 dollars worth of things on my alt accounts to get premium status on them for backpack space. And my ability to purchase anything on Steam was immediately locked after that. It was an auto-lock system because I used the same card on multiple accounts...even though my alt accounts have the SAME name as my main account, just with numbers attached at the end.
After over 3 days of waiting Steam Support got back to me...

With a copy/paste thing about the Snow Globe trading cards. That's right. My questions on why I was suspended, or what part of the policy I violated were completely ignored. They focused on one part where I mentioned that I'd like to be able to trade those cards before they expired (Where I was asking how do I get this suspension removed, or prove I'm innocent)...and I got back a canned response about something completely unrelated to my issue of not being able to trade...all about the Snow Globes...

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Steam Support.

All Snow Globe cards that should have been given out during purchases/voting should be granted to your account.

All item rewards given at the time of crafting are random and can be for various titles as seen here:
http://store.steampowered.com/promotion/snowglobefaq

Please be sure to check your inventory on Steam for all your games as items should be properly granted.

If you are missing an item/card please let us know and we will be glad to further investigate.

NOW I GET TO WAIT THREE OR MORE DAYS FOR ANOTHER RESPONSE!!! Fantastic.

I responded back and made sure not to mention the trading cards at all. We'll see how this goes.

Why should Steam warn scammers they're going to be banned.

Why should Steam warn scammers they're going to be banned.

Well, my point was more warn people if they get REPORTED, not just for scamming (You can report people for various things). As I was initially under the impression I got suspended for being 'reported' by various traders, that's why I thought it would be nice if you got warned first.

And I have no problem with Steam suspending people that may be scammers, I just wish they had a better process to deal with it.

Like specifying why they suspended instead of just linking the Trading policy without any further detail. OR having a way to submit proof (Which I don't know what I need to prove as I don't know why I was suspended).
GAH!! I've been a Steam User for 10+ years, and this is a bunch of bull. Steam Support is giving me the run-around. Not only do I have to wait 3-5 days to get a reply, all I get are canned responses that sort of address ONE of my questions I asked, but don't actually answer my main question of HOW DO I PROVE MY INNOCENCE?!

SO, steam says I'm banned for violating the policy, Steam Support says that I was banned because I was REPORTED for scamming and any items that were scammed were removed. Nothing was removed from my library/inventory. Again, I'm pretty sure some jerks wrongfully reported me even if I didn't trade with them.

I don't know what to do, is there any way of getting actual help from Steam Support? Am I just boned?
Well, it's already been 9 days of the 14 you were restricted. Only 5 more days, might as well just let it go.

NO. I will not just let it go. Yeah my trade suspension ends in 5 days, but my account is still going to be flagged, and if I try to continue trading people will get a pop-up saying I've in a probation period for something I DID NOT DO. Which means some people won't want to trade with me, or I'll have to spend extra time trying to explain the situation to people.

Also, as I am wrongly being accused, I don't want my account to have this blemish. What happens if I get reported wrongly again? After so many times they won't ban me from trading, they'll delete my entire account. I'm not going to just let it go and risk my 380+ game library.
I ban but I didnot do wrong...sir how many days the suspension ends...when i invite to trade they appears but alway error and loading and loading..please reply me sir..thanks
