How do I remove a steam Library?
So I got call of duty ghosts for christmas and I have beeninstalling alot of stamgames but my SSD is to small so I have been putting them on my HDD (Drive A). But using a junction to make steam think they are still in the steam apps folder. That is untill I got to installing ghosts, at 25GB the game is was too large so I thought I would make a new library on my drive A and then move it to where the rest of my games were and create a mklink for it in the library. However Stam keeps wanting to look on drive A for the game but it should be looking on drive c and being redirected to drive A.

My main issue here, is that even though all the data is still on my computer in a steam game folder on Drive A. Steam will not recognise it, because it still wants to look in the library. I deleted the library but when I try to instal steam again It trys to create the library again. I do not want this library but steam keeps going there. I want to delete that library from steam and then have it look in the primary library for ghosts because that is where it is. So how do I make steam stop trying to create a library for ghosts? I want avoid a reinstall because it took like 2 hours to get it off the discs and I am still trying to download 4 other games.

I have seen alot of stuff about removing games, and even adding librarys but nothing about removing one. or merging them. I really want to get all these files together, but steam isnt letting me.

Have you added additional libraries by clicking "Steam" in the upper left corner of the client window > "Settings" > "Downloads" tab > "Steam Library Folders" button? Not sure what this junction/mklink stuff is you're doing.

I thinks WhereIsBusmin is right. You can look in the setting>download>steam library options. Though I never tried it yet.

"only empty steam library folders can be removed" but I cant figure out how to empty it. How do I take COD ghosts and take it from the libary on drive A:\ folder and move it into the library on drive C:\ folder?

uninstall it, then install it in a different location?

this is a 25gb game. that is almost as big as all my toher games combined. I have all of the folders. and actually I have moved it and had to re install it but it wont let me choose where it goes right into this other library

You likely don't need this anymore, but someone else might. Just rename any folder you want to stop using as a library folder, assuming you don't want to delete the files. Otherwise you can just delete it. Then you can remove it as a library folder in the Downloads section of Settings like others have mentioned.

Setting up a new folder, the folder you choose has to be empty so just have it clean when you're setting it up. I definitely do not recommend setting it up in your root folder for a drive. If you have another folder where you want the new one to be, just move it to a different spot on the drive for a bit. Personally I set it up to mirror where the Steam install is on my main drive.

Wanting to transfer a game from one library to another is easy enough. Copy the files from the first library straight to the other. Then uninstall the game through Steam, which will delete it from the previous library. Then when you hit to install in the new folder through Steam, it will see that you have files already in the new folder. It will take up to a few minutes depending on your connection and the size of the game, to essentially do the same thing as if you hit "verify integrity of game cache." Some bits may need to redownload.

You can also just make the move more directly, with restarting Steam to let it recognize where the game is installed. I'm not sure if this will work if you've already hit uninstall. It is especially handy if for some reason Steam stops recognizing the library on a drive. Just rename the folder, set up a new folder with the name as the Steam library on that drive since it needs a clean spot, move all the games into the new folder and restart Steam.

Generally all your saves will carry over, since they mostly save to the game folder which you copied over or to a separate folder outside Steam which usually isn't removed. You may want to be careful and make backups to make sure.
