Xbox Controller Drivers need to be installed while all controller type devices and unplugged. Some devices require this method, like most Printers for example.
If you had the installer in Programs and Features, uninstall first.
If not, install controller drivers from MS for your OS version.
Reboot, then connect your controller(s).
Are you using a real wired pad or are you trying to use the plug n charge kit to go wired?
Plug n charge cables will not work. It has to be a proper wired pad or a wireless one with a pc wireless reviver.
After plugging your controller on the USB 2.0 port, it will install the drivers automatically for you if your connected to the internet.
If not connected to the internet, download the 360controller drivers for windows, install and plug the controller to the USB 2.0 port.
If your computer does not have a USB 2.0 and you are running Windows 7, you might need to consider upgrading.
