How many Steam games can 1TB hold?

Depends on the game. Some games like COD ghost can take up tons of room, whilst others like trine could fit ona flash drive.

That varies wildly depending on the games. Some are under 100MB while others are over 25GB. Most modern games are going to be at least a few GB, though.

I have a 700mb of steam backup games. (Backups do tend to be smaller than actual games when installed). Those 700mb are for 260 games (DLC not included).

I have 250 games installed on 1 TB drive with 72gb left, so on average I would say 1 TB can hold between 210 to 270 games..

You cant really say an approximative number, depends on the games you are playing.
