How do I send a gift from my game library?
I purchased three games, meaning for one of them to be a gift for a friend. All three are in my library. Is there a way to send the aforementioned game to my friend? I haven't installed it.

No, you can't gift games from your library.
Maybe steam support can help you, though.

Make sure you don't download or play the game you intended to gift. Contact Steam support and tell them what happened.

If you don't have one, you will need to create a support account as it is different to your steam account.

For future reference, use the 'buy as gift' button at the checkout to send games as gifts, or to store them in your inventory.
If you have games for yourself and others in the cart, use the gift button. You can then store them in your inventory so you can activate which ones you want to keep, and gift the others.

Not to pry, but what three games did you purchase, and which one do you want to give to a friend? And did you mean inventory when you said library? All three games are probably still in your inventory if you haven't installed any of them yet.

To send a gift: hover over ''GunslingerAT'', and go to your inventory. Click on the game that you want, and finally: Send gift...

I'm sure you can figure the rest out. Don't hesitate to post here again if you need more help.

Thanks, Folks. I got it worked out (I think). I contacted Steam Support as suggested. The games weren't in my Inventory, they were in my Library because I had purchased two of them for myself and didn't know how to specify in Cart.

From library - not possible.
From inventory - possible - just look at options for the gift.

... you made a simple thing so hard. What you buy for yourself you buy for yourself. When you want to send a gift you buy it as a gift. What's hard here???

I doubt support removes that one game from library and puts it as a gift in your inventory. They shouldn't do that.

Well, swenor, since the selection was either/or, I don't believe I made a simple thing hard. I could not select gift for one item and for myself for the other two. Sorry you went to so much trouble to take a screenshot and upload it just to make me look stupid. I'll thank you to take your condescention elsewhere.

If you'll take the time to read beyond my first post, you will see that I took care of it.

Good day.
