Strange Full Screen Distortion Issue

So I recently got myself this card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161412 and was originally using a DVI cable to plug into my monitor. No problems. I decided to experiment with an HDMI cable and discovered the color in particular was absolutely ten times better than what i was getting on my DVI. All of this after figuring out how to scale the screen to fit the monitor completely. So now my issue is i have to run all game in windowed borderless. If i run any in fullscreen then the entire screen looks distorted with color like pink, red, and green lines running through the screen. I'm up to my wits end in figuring this out. Any help would be appreciated. I would take a screenshot but when i do the screenshot shows up normal without the distortion, leaving me to believe it is something to do with my monitor.

Sounds like an issue with your GPU.

But to try something easy, run a game and make it run full screen.
Then unplug the HDMI cable from the Monitor Side and then back in again and see if goes away. If not, try it on the GPU Side.

If still occurs, I would first try a different HDMI cable.
