Humble Bundle account permissions?
Humble Bundle is requesting permission to access the following:
Redeem and activate CD-Keys on your account

Does steam / valve have any type of management interface for these account permissions? Basically if I give humble bundle access to my account do I have any method to revoke this permission in the future?

It seems inherently risky to me to grant a 3rd party unlimited access to your account for a transaction that only really needs to happen once to add a game. I realize it's a simple additive permission and I don't think the humble bundle guys are evil. At the end of the day though it is my account and I'd like to maintain control over it.

Id also like to understand more about this privilege Ive just been coerced into granting HB and how, if at all, I can revoke it. Or is it a one-shot deal? Im unclear.

I don't know if there's a way to revoke it, but the only thing that HB can do (other than read stuff like your profile name) is grant games to your account. They can't take them away, trade away items, or anything like that. The authorization isn't permanent either, it only lasts a few months (like 3-6).

Like Kesac said, what they have access to is very limited. There's an option in your HB settings to unlink your account, if that interests you.

If you change your password will that not revoke their access to your account?
First log into the original steam community homepage.
That way you dont risk entering details somewhere else.
Then you can use the green button.

I'm not sure if changing passwords revokes API keys, but it may.

Using the green button gives no access to an account.
Important is, only log into the original steam site.
To avoid leaking details if one day a site fakes the button.
If you arent allready logged in then though, its a fake!

Yup, but it was unanswered and another user expressed interest in the same subject.

Thanks dudes. I wasnt being paranoid I was just disrupted by the new authorization stuff. It turns out this new proccess is related to HB stoping its customers from reselling or gifting their purchased license keys. -shockyface-
