Okay, I will walk you through... get into gmod, go to options, lok throught the tabs and you see a tab with the profil picture, then open the link and then you can browse through to find your picture, hope I could help...

Exactly the same way you did with that avatar. Make sure they're not too big files. That link explains the rest.
